Dr. Lindsay Stephens, Investigator Interviews

Dr. Stephens is a social planner and human geographer her expertise is in the socio-spatial aspects of accessibility and inclusion in urban and institutional spaces. Her community informed research explores emotion and affect, inequality and social justice, micropolitics, and knowledge production practices. Her work aims to produce more equitable and accessible places and enable diverse and non-economic activities, by better understanding place-based relations, political identities, culture and emotion at a local scale. Methodologically her work is unified by its use of innovative participatory practices and critical social theory.
